Accreditation

The School of Education is dedicated to excellence in the preparation of educators. We work to provide the strongest programs for our students. We demonstrate this commitment to excellence through our accreditation efforts. The School of Education is accredited the Texas Education Agency, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, and UT Tyler is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

TExES Information:

For the 2013-2014 year, here is a breakdown of our passing rates on the TExES certification exams in all of our program areas within the School of Education. We also include informed according to various categories of students taking TExES exams. In the state of Texas, the accountability level deemed acceptable is an 80% passing rate. Passing rates are determined by the last time a candidate takes a certification during the time period of September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2014.

For 2013-2014, the UT Tyler College of Education had 286 completers in our various educator preparation programs.
