UT Tyler School of Education
The School of Education is dedicated to excellence in the preparation of educators. We work to provide the strongest programs for our students. We demonstrate this commitment to excellence through our accreditation efforts. The School of Education is accredited the Texas Education Agency, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, and UT Tyler is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The College of Education and School of Education at The University of Texas at Tyler are proud of our programs and graduates. As part of this pride in our educator preparation programs, we are pleased to provide information about our program completers/graduates available to others.
For the 2012-2013 year, here is a breakdown of our passing rates on the TExES certification exams in all of our program areas. We also include informed according to various categories. In the state of Texas, the accountability level deemed acceptable is an 80% passing rate. Passing rates are determined by the last time a candidate takes a certification during the time period of September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2013.
For 2012-2013, the UT Tyler College of Education had 286 completers in our various educator preparation programs.
