School of Education Admission
Requirements
The
mission of the Admissions Unit of the School of Education
is to ensure that all persons admitted to initial certification
programs have demonstrated required abilities in reading,
mathematics, written and oral communication, and critical
thinking; have no disqualifying criminal record; and meet
all health requirements for work in schools. Additionally,
the Admissions Unit provides a positive environment for
students and processes applications and appeals for admission
in a timely and positive manner.
Admission Process:
- Attend Phase I orientation session
- Submit Admission Form during
Phase I-A
- Current TB test results
- $100 receipt for program admission fee (paid in cashier's
office)
- 240 or higher in each of the TASP/THEA test
- 2.5 minimum GPA
- 48 hours on degree plan
- Print, sign, and submit the Handbook Agreement Form.

- Secondary candidates - Submit copy of degree/deficiency
plan or verification of degree plan
