The EDLR Practitioner Review

The EDLR Practitioner Review is a scholarly open-access online journal highlighting selected student action research projects written in EDLR 5271.

  • The purpose of the journal is to provide an opportunity for EDLR students to strengthen their post-graduate portfolios through publication.
  • The editors will select two action research projects each semester for a total of six per year for its annual publication.

The Action Research Project

The action research project is a disciplined inquiry process in which educational leadership students examine educational practices on their campuses or within their districts, systematically using a variety of evaluative, investigative and quantitative or qualitative research methods in solving problems to foster school improvement efforts.
