ABANDONMENT OF POSITION

Failure to report to work for three (3) consecutive days without notification to the appropriate supervisory personnel constitutes abandonment of position. It is the employee’s responsibility to maintain communication with the department during absences. Abandonment of position may render an employee ineligibility for rehire.
