OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT
To avoid any conflict of interest and to abide by Fair Labor Standards overtime regulations, no employee should engage in any outside employment before completing a Consulting/Outside Employment form (available in Human Resources) and requesting review by the department head, administrative officer, and Human Resources. Employees desiring to be a candidate for any federal, state, county, municipal, or school board office must submit a written request to the President of the UT Tyler for approval. No State employee may receive pay for any such office held.
