ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance by employees is essential. Each employee must carefully observe assigned hours of work. Employees MUST notify their supervisor as far in advance as possible when they are unable to report for duty. Unless otherwise stated in your departmental policy, tardiness is defined as not being at work and ready to work when your schedule begins. Patterns of absence are another reason for discipline. A pattern is defined as more than three (3) incidents of unscheduled absence in a 90-day period taken in conjunction with scheduled time off. Visiting in other departments during working hours without permission or a business-related reason is prohibited. Employees are expected to follow the attendance policy established by their department. Failure to follow attendance policies may result in leave without pay and/or disciplinary action.
