SOCIAL SECURITY

Employees of UT Tyler automatically participate in the Federal Social Security Program. Social Security may provide the employee with death, survivor, and disability benefits through employment years. Upon retirement, Social Security provides a retirement income as well as medical benefits. Contributions to Social Security are determined by Congress and are subject to change from time to time.
