Verification Gateway and PJ Advisor

Verification Gateway

We are pleased to announce that we have established a partnership with Inceptia to expedite the federal verification process by utilizing the Verification Gateway online portal. If your FAFSA application is selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education, you will receive an introductory email to the email address you provided on the FAFSA. If no email was provided, you will receive an introductory postcard. The postcard will have our school logo along with Inceptia’s, so you will know it is official.

Failure to provide the requested documents could result in the delay or denial of financial aid.

What Happens Next?

A link to Verification Gateway will be included in the introductory communication requesting you access Verification Gateway. You will need to do the following*:

  1. Confirm your identity (authentication).
  2. Create a secure user name and password.
  3. Decide if you want to receive text messages and approve to e-sign.
  4. Access your Action List and begin the verification process (the list may consist of some combination of online forms and the request to upload specific documents to Verification Gateway).

*Dependent students who provided parental information on the FAFSA are required to have one parent also authenticate and create an account. This parent will be required to e-sign or provide an ink signature once all documentation has been submitted.

Upon receipt of all required documents, Inceptia will begin the verification process. Students will be notified if there are any questions or if any additional documentation is required via email, text or postcard. Once verification has been completed, the student and our school will be notified.

Questions

If you have any questions about the verification process, please contact Inceptia, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST, at 888.374.8427 or by email at VGCS@inceptia.org.

PJ Advisor and Special Circumstances Process

We are pleased to announce we have established a partnership with Inceptia to expedite the financial aid appeal process by utilizing the PJ Advisor online portal. PJ Advisor is an accessible, intuitive tool that will guide you through the process to request a professional judgment/appeal.

What Happens Next?

You may access PJ Advisor here. You (or a parent, spouse, or legal guardian) will need to do the following*:

  1. Create a secure user name and password.
  2. Select your dependency status as reported on the FAFSA.
  3. Answer the pre-screening questions and select your appeal category.
  4. Explain your situation in detail, upload supporting documentation, and submit.
  5. Print, sign, and upload the signature page.

*Dependent students that provided parental information on the FAFSA are required to have one parent signature on the signature page once all documentation has been submitted.

Upon receipt of all required documents, Inceptia will conduct a preliminary review to ensure the submission is accurate and complete. You will be notified via email if there are any questions or if any additional documentation is required. Once the submission is verified as complete, it will be sent to your school’s financial aid office for final review and determination. Your school will contact you with the results.

Questions

If you have any questions about the appeal process, please contact Inceptia’s PJ Advisor Customer Service Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm Central at 888.302.7527 or email PJCS@Inceptia.org.
