Teachers In Excellence Scholarship

Students who meet the criteria below will be considered for a Teachers in Excellence scholarship. Scholarship funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is available for the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.

Teachers in Excellence

Award Amount: up to $300 per semester

To qualify, students must submit a letter each semester on school letterhead from the principal, superintendent or personnel director which includes all of the following:

  • the teacher’s name, date of birth and UT Tyler student ID number.
  • the semester for which the letter is being submitted.
  • verification of full-time employment as a certified teacher.
  • the letter must be received by the appropriate Department Office on or before the posted deadline date for the semester.
Deadline Dates
  • Fall: July 30
  • Spring: November 30
  • Summer: April 30
