Starwood Lodging Program

Through a partnership between The University of Texas System and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, UT employees are entitled to a complimentary membership in the Starwood Preferred Guest program at the elevated Corporate Preferred level.  The Starwood collection includes Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, Four Points and other properties – more than 890 hotels.  The program offers discounts for business as well as personal travel. 

Program details are as follows:

• 20% off the best available fully refundable rate at the time of booking
• Discount applies to
• Staff, faculty,  guests, consultants and students traveling on official University business
• Patient travel for medical institutions
• Personal travel for staff and faculty
• Room upgrades at check-in based on availability
• Late check-out based on availability
• Starwood Points redeemable for free night stays and airline tickets (no black-out dates)
• A rate of $85 at the Sheraton Austin for staff, faculty, guest and consultant business travel.   The rate is applicable during legislative session provided that the hotel has rooms available.
• Reservations can be made online or through Corporate Travel Planners, UT Tyler's travel agency.
