Meet a Current Master of Public Administration (MPA) Student
Student Name: Carter P. Delleney, P.E.
Program: Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Hometown: Georgetown, Texas
Undergraduate Institution: Texas Tech University
Graduation Year: 1999
Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler? Living and working in Tyler played a huge role in choosing UT Tyler. I am able to attend a full service university in the same town in which I live, work, and play. UT Tyler had a great reputation for producing qualified students so it was a clear choice for me.
What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them? The MPA program would place me in a favorable position for a city manager position. My undergraduate is in civil engineering, so the master of public administration degree will help round out my education. With my BSCE and MPA I could be an effective public administrator with a technical background.
What do you like most about UT Tyler?
Aside from location, location, location, I have great respect for the staff and students that I have come in contact with from UT Tyler. I look forward to the UT Tyler diploma resting next to my TTU diploma in the near future.
