How will this scholarship help you?

This scholarship will help me to responsibly pursue my future career. Taking on crushing debt to become a professor is unwise, not to mention stressful. This scholarship has eased my concerns for affording basics like food and rent.

Why did you choose UT Tyler?

The main reason I chose to pursue graduate school at UT Tyler is its proximity to work and family. I currently serve part-time as the Marketing Director for my family's RE/MAX office, so being close allows me to be present when needed.

What is your goal after graduation?

When I graduate, I hope to pursue a PhD in English so I can ultimately become an English professor.
