Program: Master's of Science in Computer Science

Hometown: Hyderabad, India

Graduation Year: 2017

Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?

The course curriculum for Computer Science is very good and qualitative. As suggested by my senior, professors here are very helpful. Graduate Assistants in the Grad office helped me to gain clarity with all the doubts I had regarding the education abroad.  So, I finally chose to come here.

What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?

I want to be a Data Engineer. I took classes in Database Design, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics and Data Mining which provided me a broader perspective on data storage and retrieval. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Fall 2016 for Programming Fundamentals and Object Oriented Paradigm, I helped fellow undergraduate students with what I've learned and filled in the gaps with what I haven't learned. I think this explains how my path is being built towards what I want to be.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

The environment for education here is set to explore and you will get all the help you want. Alongside with a constant pursuit to reach my goal, I get to work for and experience all the small changes that contribute to an innovation through robotics competitions.
