How has this scholarship helped you?

The New Graduate Fellowship helped me to lower my tuition by almost 50 percent. Obtaining this scholarship had a great impact in my study as well, as I was able to focus my mind on  my studies rather than the financial part. Scholarships like the New Graduate Fellowship can help students maximize their capacity by ultimately lowering their financial burdens. I am very thankful to the people who helped with this opportunity.

What is your favorite part about UT Tyler?

Everyone from professor to staff working in Civil Engineering as well as the other staff I came across were very helpful from the start. They were focused on our success and always there to help us. The Civil Engineering department was always focused on providing different research opportunities to the students.  I can proudly say that the two years in UT Tyler was one of the best times of my life in every aspect. 

What is your goal after graduation?

My dream was always to be a civil engineer and design buildings, roads, and bridges and that's what I am going for right now. I am hoping to learn new things on the way. I hope I can give something back to the community as well as UTTyler through my work.
