Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?

I chose UT Tyler’s EHCA Program because as a working professional it really met all the criteria in order to continue working and have the ability to support my family. The program format in addition to the classes are very practical as opposed to strictly academic. In addition to the success of the students in previous cohorts, I felt the EHCA Program would give me the knowledge and tools to succeed in the future.

What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?

My career goals are to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to be successful in any aspect of health care which I choose to pursue at any given time. It is also important to gain an understanding and appreciation for the many areas of expertise that are a part of the Health Industry. The EHCA program not only gives great academic information relevant to this field but the students chosen to participate in program come from a variety of areas in relation to the health care industry. This not only drives discussion but gives each person an opportunity to take an inside look at other areas which are relevant to this field of study.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

Growing up in the Tyler area, I have seen UT Tyler go from a 3rd-4th year college to a full-blown academic center with excellence and variety in terms of education. The format of the EHCA Program alone is what made me come back for my graduate degree. And I hear the projects in the future development of UT Tyler are very exciting and will really make UT Tyler a great place to study.
