UT Tyler Initial Teacher Certifications - Online!
Start Teacher Education Preparation (STEP)
We offer several online Initial Teacher Certifications at UT Tyler. Please be sure to contact the advisor, Ms. Ginny Fender at step@uttyler.edu, or phone the Office of Educator Certification (903.566.7053) for guidance, support, and preparation toward the attainment of your online teacher certification. The advisor will guide you in choosing the correct major, or you can view this list of majors. The Office of Educator Certification website provides general certification information, lists the types of certifications available, requirements for certification, and how to apply for your certificate after you've completed your UT Tyler coursework and testing. Some STEP programs are now offered 100% online.
