International Students
New Student Orientation
on Campus

After being accepted, you will receive an I-20 form from UT Tyler with your admission information, SEVIS fee remittance information, and acceptance letter. Please carefully read all the information in your packet. The I-20 form should be taken to the U. S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country to obtain the necessary F-1 Student Visa. Remember to also take documentary evidence of financial support for your studies in the U.S., since the official may request such evidence.

You will receive a letter from Admissions with details of the International Student Orientation. All new F-1 students are required to attend. If you have a conflict and need an exemption from attending orientation, you must contact the international students’ office at least 4 business days before the scheduled orientation.

Report to Anita Crockett's office, Administration Building, Room 212 as soon as you arrive to The University of Texas at Tyler. Bring your signed I-20, your passport, and your new Tyler address. Check the Graduate Studies Calendar to see when regular on-campus registration for your classes will take place, and when classes begin.

Please remember that you must provide final year marks and provisional certificate prior to or upon arrival at The University of Texas at Tyler.

Your contact is Anita Crockett, who can be reached at acrockett@uttyler.edu, international@uttyler.edu, or by phone at (903) 566-7230.
