The 3rd Annual College of Arts and Sciences Conference on Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2007, at The Cowan Center at The University of Texas at Tyler.  This conference is intended to bring together students, faculty, and the local community to discuss a range of issues concerning the Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance periods and their continuing importance.  This conference is a wonderful opportunity to meet and gain feedback from peers, scholars, and the wider community, as well as be exposed to the richness and diversity of these periods.

Abstracts of 150-250 words for a 15-20 minute paper from faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students should be e-mailed (strongly preferred) to Victor Scherb at vscherb@uttyler.edu or Jill Blondin at jblondin@uttyler.edu. You may also send your abstract via US mail to: Victor Scherb, Department of Literature and Languages, The University of Texas at Tyler, Tyler, TX 75799.

In addition to the abstract, please include a brief personal statement or Curriculum Vitae of less than one page, with full contact information and a tentative assessment of any audiovisual equipment required for your presentation.

The deadline for abstract submission is January 26th, 2007. A faculty/student committee will review submissions and respond via email by mid-February.
