Minor in Classical Studies
A minor in Classical Studies will offer students of the University of Texas at Tyler a unique opportunity to study the language, literature, history, and culture of one of the most influential European peoples. This interdisciplinary minor will allow students interested in a variety of fields (language, literature, art, etc.) to explore this ancient culture on multiple levels. A minor in Classical Studies would support the University’s fledgling Latin program and allow students who are motivated to continue studying the language to do so. The numerous inquiries I have received concerning the status of the Classical Studies minor in recent months indicate a significant level of student interest.
