Classical, Medieval and Renaissance Studies
Scholarship Opportunities

The Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies Scholarship has a permanent endowment, which currently provides approximately $1,000 a year in scholarship monies. This scholarship will be available to both undergraduates and graduates pursuing studies in classical, medieval, or renaissance fields as demonstrated by either advanced research (e.g. an M.A. thesis on a classical, medieval, or renaissance topic), or an appropriate minor or major as they become available (e.g. an undergraduate minor in Classical Studies or the proposed minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies). The student should apply for the scholarship through the Financial Aid office but also submit a written application to the head of the Center in which the student describes his or her area of interest and its importance to human culture, especially (but not limited to) those fields traditionally associated with the humanities and fine arts. The scholarship funds will be awarded by the Center for Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies to provide scholarship support for deserving students
