Biography
Dr. Linehan joined the History Department in 2009. She is the winner of five all campus awards for teaching excellence and has a book "Abandoned Women: Gender and Prostitution in Chicago" under consideration. Proud to be from Chicago, she has also served on a panel to advise the last two first ladies. Her areas of specialization are gender, race, and sexuality. In 2007, she was a featured speaker at the Oral History Association Annual Meeting discussing her work on the Miss America pageant.
