Patriot Village Move-in Information

Move-In Day is Friday, August 22, 2008.  These instructions are for students who will be moving into the Patriot Village Apartments ONLY.

To ensure the quickest move-in we can, the parking spaces immediately adjacent to the apartments have been designated an unloading area.  Please box your belongings before you arrive on campus, and label each box with your name and room number.  Please bring a dolly or cart if you believe you will need one, as we will not have them available.  All vehicles in the unloading area must be attended at all times.

You can get to Patriot Village by turning left on to Patriot Avenue from University Boulevard (Spur 248).  Take a right on Campus Drive (at the West Entrance to campus), and Patriot Village will be just down the road on the left and across the street from the Baseball and Softball Complex. The map below shows where Patriot Village is in relation to University Boulevard.

Patriot Village Express Check-In will work like this:

Step 1:  Pull into the lot in front of the Patriot Village Community Center to pick up your check-in packet.  Staff will bring the packet to your vehicle and direct you to the parking lot for unloading.  To keep the flow of traffic moving, we ask that you keep to this arrival schedule:

• Students whose last names begin with A through L, please arrive between 8 AM and 12:30 PM every half hour (8:00, 8:30, 9:00, etc).
• Students whose last names begin with M through Z, please arrive between 12:30 PM and 5 PM every half hour (12:30, 1:00, 1:30, etc).

Step 2:  Volunteers and staff are available to help unload your car into a designated spot.  All vehicles in the unloading area must be attended at all times.  The spots designated for unloading are marked in orange on the map below.  If you are moving into building 1, you will be using the unloading spaces nearest building 1.  If you are moving into building 2, you will be using the unloading spaces nearest building 2.  If you require assistance during move-in due to a physical condition, please notify the volunteer when you get your check-in packet.  Volunteers are available to help move your things from the unloading area to your room.

Step 3:  After the vehicle has been unloaded, a volunteer will direct the vehicle to a vacant parking space or to the exit of the lot next to the Community Center.  Cars that are leaving the Patriot Village lot may park in the Baseball/Softball Complex parking lot or the Library parking lot.

Step 4:  Complete any paperwork. Students must go to the Patriot Village Community Center to officially check in.  Return your room inventory form and any other forms you are directed to return to the Community Center.
