HPC Fitness Floor Assistant- This position is designed for the entry level fitness enthusiast. Fitness assistants are responsible for assisting and protecting the HPC patrons, maintaining and cleaning of the HPC facility equipment, and completing other duties as assigned.
HPC Front Desk Assistant- The responsibilities of this position include admittance to the HPC, answering patron questions, assisting patrons, cleaning and maintaining of front desk equipment, knowledge of emergency procedures, maintaining telephone and radio contact with all HPC staff, and other duties as assigned.
HPC Office Assistant - The office staff has a variety of responsibilities: provide info on campus recreation programs, facilities, and memberships, handle registration for intramural sports, special events, and memberships, and general office duties including answering phones, filing, data entry, and selling merchandise.
HPC Building Manager - Building Managers serve as the representative of the HPC when management is not available. They will supervise evening and weekend staff to provide the HPC with a professional and safe environment. When other managerial staff is not present, the Building Manager is in charge and able to make decisions regarding the facility.
Rec Sports Official- They will officiate numerous Intramural, Club Sports, and Special Events. Officials are required to attend training meetings, assist in preparation for games, enforcing rules and regulations for sports, and fill out game reports.
Rec Sports Assistant- Rec Sports Assistants are responsible for monitoring fields, courts, equipment, and staff members at Intramural, Outdoor Adventures, and Club Sports events. This position directs questions to coordinator, reports management problems, handles emergencies, and secures equipment and facilities.
Group Fitness Instructor - Our instructors invest considerable energy in making their classes challenging, invigorating, and energizing. Instructor's role in fitness education -- to make cardiovascular training, muscular strength and endurance development, and coordination exciting and fulfilling to all participants.
Certified Personal Trainer - Personal Trainers empower patrons to plan and adhere to specific exercise regimens that will help them achieve their fitness goals. Personal Trainers understand our fitness education philosophy -- as a result of our personal training consultations, every patron should be able to pursue a healthy lifestyle, independent of our assistance.
Certified Lifeguard- Lifeguards are directly responsible for the safety of patrons using the HPC swimming pool. In addition to guarding the pool, lifeguards must check pool chemistry; assure sanitary conditions in the pool; assist patrons; perform maintenance and cleaning duties; and other duties as assigned.
Swim Lesson Instructor - Instructors are responsible for teaching the programs for those interested in learning to swim. Instructors may also be asked to instruct Group Water Exercise classes. Instructors are responsible for keeping their certifications current.
