Industrial Technology is the creative systematic application of knowledge utilizing human and natural resources involving, tools, equipment, techniques, processes, scientific principles, and management skills to produce and distribute goods, services, and information.

As the engineering and management career fields have become increasingly specialized, a void has been created between line workers who actually produce products and render services. Industrial Technology ties these vital positions together by preparing graduates who can creatively apply human and technical skills to the solution of problems.

The degree option is specified in the UT Tyler catalog and on the Department of HRD & Technology web site.  Click here to view the strategic plan and program goals for the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.
