Narrative Biography:

Rochell McWhorter is currently a doctoral candidate in Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University through a cooperative degree program with The University of Texas at Tyler. Her long-term research agenda includes the study of scenario planning as the development of leadership capability and capacity within organizational settings for the purpose of preparing leadership for times of uncertainty.

Her passion for emerging technologies includes study of the construct of virtual Human Resource Development (vHRD) to discover how HRD professionals can best build their skillset for working within the virtual context. As part of this inquiry, she was invited to assist in the development of two virtual campuses including one completed during the summer of 2009 at Texas A&M University and one here at UT-Tyler currently underway.
