Wang notes that "The Academy of Human Resource Development is a premier global research organization with the vision of "Leading the Human Resource Development Profession through Research." Unlike other professional organizations, the academy is truly global, with research conferences being held in the U.S., Europe and Asia each year.
"I feel especially honored to be an Academy board member because I was elected by our inclusive national and international human resource development community of scholars" Wang said. "By participating in this leadership role on the board, I have an opportunity to contribute to UT Tyler's reputation as an academic leader and to make a difference for the human resource development discipline."  

"My service as a board member is an opportunity to increase the visibility of The University of Texas at Tyler and to help shape the leadership agenda for the HRD profession," Wang said. "As our human resource development program continues to grow, we will develop greater interest among high quality undergraduate and graduate student applicants from East Texas and around the world."
