Trade and Industrial Education Teacher Certification

Step 3 -   Apply for Your Trade & Industrial Education Teaching Certificate
After having completed all of the requirements listed on your Career Development Plan you are eligible to apply for the Trade & Industrial Education teaching certificate.  To initiate this process, contact the Certification Officer at The University of Texas at Tyler (903/566-9279) and submit documentation necessary to demonstrate completion of your deficiency plan requirements. 

The College of Education Certification Officer will verify that you have completed all of the necessary requirements for you certification application and forward a "Recommendation for Certification" to The State Board for Educator Certification for their approval.  The State Board for Educator Certification will review the College of Education 's recommendation and make the final decision on issuing your certification.  This is a five year renewable certificate.
