My research, teaching, and practice within Human Resource Development (HRD) have been focused on two major areas: (1) the economic foundation and assessment of HRD and (2) the comparative policy issues of HRD at national and organizational levels.

My commitment to the profession has been demonstrated through my record of published scholarship and my dedication to serving the profession-- including serving as a Board member for the Academy of HRD and serving on the Editorial Boards for both the Human Resource Development Quarterly and Advances in Developing Human Resources.

My corporate and international experience, along with my formal education in economics, has provided me inspiration and sources for important theory and research challenges. I am fully committed to advancing the maturity of the important and exciting discipline of HRD.
