Printed Application Instructions

Email the following PDF forms to ieli@uttyler.edu.

  • Completed Application Form along with $150 USD (Includes $50 document processing and $100 tuition deposit, non-refundable).
  • Completed Certificate of Financial Responsibility Form (CFR) with a personal/family bank statement
  • Copy of photo page of your passport
  • Copy of most recent diploma or school transcript

Once you have submitted your documents via email, you will be contacted as soon as possible with a confirmation of receipt. Any missing information will be requested.

You will need a clear photo or PDF version of:

  • Proof of financial support for the CFR portion of the application.
  • Data page of your passport.
  • Your most recent school transcript.

You may need a clear photo or PDF version of:

  • Certified and signed clear photo/pdf of letter of financial support from a sponsor.
  • Proof of meningitis vaccination. Learn more.
  • Proof of accepted form of TB screening if you are from a high-risk area. Learn more.

Once you have submitted all of your documents through the online application, you will be contacted as soon as possible with a confirmation of receipt. Payment instructions will also be provided at that time.

After Applying

Applicants can generally expect an acceptance and welcome letter a few days after all documentation and application fee have been submitted. At that time, you will receive additional instructions on your I-20, visa interview, and medical requirements like tuberculosis screening and the meningitis vaccine. We also supply our future incoming students with guides to assist  in finding housing and transportation from the airport to UT Tyler.

Applicant Notice

If you are applying for an F-1 or J-1 visa, please keep your original financial guarantee statement for your visa interview, but bring originals to check-in at the International Student, Scholar, and Faculty Services Center (ISSFS) once you arrive to Tyler.
