GET CREDIT FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
All members will log their community service participation through the UT Tyler Office of Leadership & Service's GiveBack program. You will need to first register for the GiveBack program and then you can start logging your hours. If you have questions, please contact us.
When you log your hours, make sure that you select that you completed them with a student organization and then select NSLS. Credit for your hours will be given on the date of the requirement deadline for the semester you're being inducted.
While we encourage all members to participate in NSLS sponsored service projects, you are not required to do so. If you participate with another student organization, a class, your family, etc. you can absolutely count that toward your NSLS community service requirement. Again, regardless of who you participate with, make sure you select that you want your hours to be counted toward NSLS when you log.
SUBMIT YOUR SNT RESPONSES
We will have you fill out an SNT card at the orientation that you attend. After all orientation sessions are complete, the SNT Coordinator will sort you into an SNT group and then let you know who your group members are through an email (please be checking your NSLS members area or the email you used to register with The Society).
The SNT process is explained during the orientation session that you attend. After each of your SNT meetings, each member will need to go to the national website and log their SNT Report. You can click here to be taken to that page. There are also resources on the national website that can help you with this process.
FIND EVENT DATES FOR THE SEMESTER
All dates for the semester are given out at the orientation that you attend. You can also find these dates on the national website when you log into your member's area.
ORDER GRADUATION REGALIA
Once you are a fully-inducted member into The Society, you have the option to order graduation regalia. You can do this by logging into the national wesbite. You will then go to the shop section and select the graduation regalia that you would like to purchase. You will be asked to input your Member ID in order to make your purchase, which is either your username or email that you use to log in to the national website.
COMMUNICATE WITH THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
All commnication will come through the national website. You will need to utilize the messaging system through the national website when communicating with the executive board. We show you how to navigate this system at the orientation session that you attend and we're more than happy to help you after if you have any questions.
