Roadmap to Success
Industrial Technology (Applied Engineering)
The Roadmap to Success program in industrial technology was established by Northeast Texas Community College and The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center to provide the details necessary for you to earn industrial technology associate and bachelor's degrees in an efficient and affordable way close to home.
The industrial technology (applied engineering) field of study is concerned with the application of basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of industrial engineers and managers.
Industrial technology programs generally include instruction in optimization theory, human factors and organizational behavior, industrial processes and planning procedures, computer applications, and report and presentation preparation.
Most starting salaries in industrial technology exceed $50,000 and are competitive with most other engineering fields. The median salary for an industrial production manager with a bachelor's degree was $89,190 in 2012, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
