A bachelor's degree in industrial technology from The University of Texas at Tyler prepares students for a wide variety of management-oriented technical professions. Graduates find positions as plant manager, inventory manager, technical sales representative, production supervisor, procurement manager, project engineer, safety manager, industrial engineer and more.

Nearly 100% of UT Tyler graduates find jobs in the industrial technology field immediately following graduation, or are accepted to graduate school. Graduates are employed with leading companies in the region and across the United States.

  • More than 95% of UT Tyler industrial tech majors pass the ATMAE Certified Manufacturing Specialist exam on their first attempt.
  • A minor in business administration is embedded in the program, providing basic skills in management, accounting, finance and marketing.
  • Industrial tech majors earn FANUC robotics certifications and OSHA 30-hour general industry certifications.
