University Chorale
University Chorale

University Chorale, originally known as Concert Chorale, was organized in 1975 as the first choral ensemble of UT Tyler (then called Texas Eastern University). Since that time, University Chorale has continued a strong performance tradition across a wide variety of styles and works, and is open to students, faculty and staff who desire to participate in an enriching, instructive, and artistic choral experience. University Chorale performs in two large concerts each semester, drawing upon a rich heritage of music from "classical," folk, spiritual and religious traditions.  Choral masterworks in recent years have included: Kleine Orgelmesse (Haydn), Jesu meine Freude (Bach), Gloria (Vivaldi), Mass in G (Schubert), Gloria (Rutter), Requiem (Rutter), Requiem (Fauré), Requiem (Duruflé).

No audition is required for University Chorale, however a short consultation with the director is needed to determine the singer's most confortable vocal range. Please contact Dr. Rose.
