Dr. Marilyn Young

Welcome to my web site. Since teaching is my first priority, I teach both graduate and undergraduate Organizational Behavior and Leadership and Management Development. Also, business research and consulting are of utmost interest to me. My MBA and Ph.D. are from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Student success is very important to me and I organized and have been president of

UT Tyler Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter. Also, I am a past member of Editorial Advisory Board, Journal of Small Business Management and currently an advisor for Journal of Business & Entrepreneurship. (Background and Vita).

Presently, I am on the Board of Direcors of East Texas Symphony Orchestra.

I recently worked with universities in the University of Texas System to determine small business assistance needs in Texas. Some of my economic development research reports are below:

These studies have been conducted for the Tyler, Kilgore, Lufkin, Nachgodches, Longview, and Hillsboro economic development agencies. Also, I have conducted numerous market research, leadership training and consulting projects for many business and non-profit organizations.
