P.J. Lamb Appointed Director of Planned
Giving
P.J.
Lamb has been appointed director of planned giving at UT Tyler,
Mary Untersee, vice president for university advancement, announced.
The planned
giving program was designed and implemented in 2001 as a permanent
part of university advancement. Information regarding charitable
giving and tax benefits has been made available to the public. In
addition, The Heritage Society was established to recognize and
honor UT Tyler friends who arrange for the university to receive
a planned or deferred gift through an estate plan or will.
"The planned
giving program has been the fastest growing program in the university
advancement office and now highlights more than 34 charter members
who have pledged a significant commitment to the future of UT
Tyler,'' Untersee said. "In the next few weeks, information
will be made available to the university family inviting their participation
in The University of Texas at Tyler's successful planned giving
program.''
Lamb by profession
is a legal assistant. She was educated and spent much of her adult
life in Amarillo, where she had considerable fund-raising experience
through her activities with numerous service organizations including
the Junior League.
Some of her
projects include the Speech & Hearing Center building fund,
YWCO Capital Campaign, Heart Foundation and Methodist Mission Home.
Lamb joined
the staff at the R. Don Cowan Fine & Performing Arts Center
in 1998 and later served as interim director for almost a year before
transferring to the office of development. She serves as UT Tyler
representative for the Longview and Palestine campuses.
