Professor
Receives Accounting Educator Award
Dr.
Mary Fischer, UT Tyler professor of accounting, was honored
recently by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants
as one of the organization’s 2002 Outstanding Accounting
Educators.
At
a ceremony held during the TSCPA Accounting Education Conference,
Fischer received a traveling trophy and a $1,000 award provided
by the TSCPA Accounting Education Foundation. More>>>

Tyler Students Nominated for Theatrical Scholarships
Thirteen
members of the UT Tyler student repertory acting company
have been officially nominated to participate in the Kennedy
Center American College Theatre Festival’s Irene Ryan
Acting Scholarships competition.
Irene
Ryan Scholarships provide recognition, honor and financial
assistance to outstanding student performers. Each competitor
must first be nominated from a participating or associate
theatre production by an adjudicator or director before
