UT Tyler’s first ring ceremony was held Dec. 5, sponsored by the UT Tyler Alumni Association and the Office of Student Life.

During the event at Muntz Library, students were presented the new official UT Tyler ring, which features the university seal and an image of the Riter Carillon Tower as well as the year of graduation.

The official ring is one example of the great traditions that are under way at UT Tyler, and will serve as a tangible reminder of a student’s achievements, Dr. Dale Lunsford, vice president of student affairs, said prior to presenting the rings.
