In The Spotlight
Dr. Kathy
Morrison, assistant professor of early childhood education,
was invited to be the keynote speaker and to present four workshops
at a High/Scope Educational Research Foundation Regional Conference
Jan. 11-12 in Ontario, Calif. Dr. Morrison's keynote address was
entitled "Changing Childhoods: Implications for Teachers of
Young Children." In addition, Dr. Morrison presented four interactive
workshops on elementary curriculum.
Dr. Morrison
also conducted a Training of Trainers at the High/Scope Educational
Research Foundation Jan. 14-18 in Ypsilanti, Mich. The weeklong
training focused on observation and assessment. Dr. Morrison worked
with elementary teachers who are implementing the High/Scope Elementary
Approach in their classrooms and observed in two elementary sites
that implement the High/Scope Approach.
