Distinguished Lecture Series to Present James Carville

The 2001-02 Distinguished Lecture Series will feature political adviser and author James Carville Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Cowan Center.

The lecture, sponsored by Vernon and Amy Faulconer, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Vaughn Auditorium.

Admission is available through general admission tickets, $10, or through the patron ticket program. Patron tickets are $50 each and include reserved seating, a special pre-lecture reception with Carville and valet parking.

Complimentary tickets are available to UT Tyler students, employees and their families.

Known worldwide for his sharp wit and shoot-from-the-hip style, Carville gained national attention as chief strategist of the Clinton/Gore 1992 campaign. He then made his mark as senior adviser to the Clinton administration. A principal in the global strategic consulting firm of Gould, Greenberg & Carville, he has shared his expertise in international politics with such high-profile clients as Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Brazilian President Fernando Enrique Cardoso.

Carville offers both an insider's perspective on American politics and a worldview of the political arena.
