Distinguished
Lecture Series to Present James Carville
The
2001-02 Distinguished Lecture Series will feature political adviser
and author James Carville Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Cowan Center.
The lecture,
sponsored by Vernon and Amy Faulconer, will begin at 8 p.m. in the
Vaughn Auditorium.
Admission is
available through general admission tickets, $10, or through the
patron ticket program. Patron tickets are $50 each and include reserved
seating, a special pre-lecture reception with Carville and valet
parking.
Complimentary
tickets are available to UT Tyler students, employees and their
families.
Known worldwide
for his sharp wit and shoot-from-the-hip style, Carville gained
national attention as chief strategist of the Clinton/Gore 1992
campaign. He then made his mark as senior adviser to the Clinton
administration. A principal in the global strategic consulting firm
of Gould, Greenberg & Carville, he has shared his expertise
in international politics with such high-profile clients as Israeli
Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Brazilian President Fernando Enrique
Cardoso.
Carville offers
both an insider's perspective on American politics and a worldview
of the political arena.
