Muntz Library Features Mary Baker Eddy Exhibit

A touring exhibit on the life of Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910), pioneer in the field of mind/body medicine, publisher, teacher and author is on display on the second floor of UT Tyler's Robert R. Muntz Library through Feb. 4.

Mary Baker Eddy"This is Woman's Hour … The Life of Mary Baker Eddy'' tells the story of a 19th century woman who challenged the limitations placed on women of her day to become a noted author, religious leader and health reformer.

The exhibit was originally prepared by The Writings of Mary Baker Eddy in conjunction with the National Park Service and featured in 1998 as an "untold story'' at the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, N.Y. The original exhibit remains on permanent display in Seneca Falls. Two replicas are touring libraries, colleges and universities across the country.
