Michael
Martin and Cheryl Cushatt are married Feb. 23 at UT Tyler's
Dub and B.J. Riter Millennium Carillon Tower and Plaza. The
Martins made history by being the first couple to have their
wedding at the Carillon Tower. Michael is senior computer
equipment maintenance technician in the UT Tyler Computer
Science Department.

Summer Research Awards Announced
Recipients
of the 2002 UT Tyler President's Faculty-Student Summer Research
Program awards have been announced.
"Twenty-eight excellent proposals were submitted and
13 were chosen for funding,'' said Dr. Rodney H. Mabry, president
of UT Tyler.
"The University Faculty Research Committee, chaired by
Dr. Paula Lundberg-Love, along with Provost David O'Keeffe,
and Faculty Senate President Dr. Virginia Beidelman, reviewed
the proposals and worked through a myriad of decisions before
bringing the final recommendations to me,'' Dr. Mabry said.
"I appreciate their diligence and hard work in completing

and Lovell to Head UT Tyler Soccer

The appointment of head coaches for UT Tyler
men's and women's soccer was announced during a press conference
Feb. 26 in the University Center. Pictured are, from left,
