Clark Receives State Leadership Award
Dr.
J. Milford Clark, UT Tyler associate vice president for
academic affairs and professor of educational administration,
is the recipient of the Texas Association of Colleges for
Teacher Education Leadership Award.
The
award was presented during a Teacher Education Conference
Oct. 21 in Austin, sponsored by the Consortium of State

New
Master of Fine Arts Degree Approved
The
art program at UT Tyler is now accepting applications for
its new master of fine arts degree in studio art.
The
Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board recently approved
the graduate degree. UT Tyler will begin admitting students
to the degree program in January 2003. More>>>

Carilloneurs to Perform Thursday
UT
Tyler’s first student carilloneurs will present a
Riter Millennium Carillon concert at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov.
14.
Performing
“old standards’’ will be Matt Altman,
Anthony Witt, Meggie Joslin and Clark Davison. The concert

Marvin
Recital Features UT Tyler Faculty
Dr. Mark Johnson, tenor, and Dr. Molly Johnson, mezzo-soprano,
will present a Sacred Recital at Marvin United Methodist
Church on Thursday, Nov. 21.
The
recital, a segment of the 2002-03 Marvin Concert Series,
will begin at 7 p.m. in the chapel.
The
Johnsons are assistant professors of music at UT Tyler.

Theatre
to Perform ‘The Fantasticks’ at Lamar University
The
UT Tyler theatre department will enter “The Fantasticks’’
in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival
and will present a special tour performance at 11 a.m. Saturday,
