Prospective Students to Visit UT Tyler
Patriot
Preview Day will be 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Cowan
Center.
Participants
will have the opportunity to visit the Tyler campus, meet faculty,
staff and students and ask college-related questions. Activities
will include:
Student
Session – Students will learn what to expect in college,
how to succeed academically and how to become involved on campus
and in the community.
Parent
Session – Parents will join with representatives
from admissions, financial aid and student affairs to discuss the
college admission and funding process.
Campus
Tours – Participants will see the facilities, grounds,
housing and many amenities the campus has to offer.
University
Showcase – Prospective students will visit with faculty
members about their intended major, the classroom setting and various
educational opportunities available to them at UT Tyler. They also
will have the opportunity to visit with representatives of student
organizations.
Preview Day
participants also can attend a Battle of the Bands Rock Concert
featuring Tyler’s own After Dark and Q-Stik at 7 p.m. Friday,
Nov. 15, at the UT Tyler Muntz Library, Room 401. Prospective students
will be admitted free by presenting their Preview Day invitation
or online registration.
