Rising Stars of Men’s Pro Tennis to Play at UT Tyler

When Tyler hosts the 2nd Annual Azalea Orthopedic Challenger presented by The University of Texas at Tyler, Oct. 28 – Nov. 3, it will be men’s professional tennis played on an international scale.

The main draw of 22 has 10 Americans and 12 others from around the globe, including Spain, France, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Israel, Denmark, Croatia, Sweden, Netherlands and the Republic of South Africa.

Gregory Hines to Perform at UT Tyler

Gregory HinesSinger, actor and star of the Broadway stage, Gregory Hines will exhibit his legendary tap dancing skills at the Cowan Center.

Hines will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. This performance is sponsored by Norma and Jim Cotton and is a Braithwaite Program jointly presented by UT Tyler and East Texas Symphony Orchestra. NBC 56 is the media sponsor.

Tickets are $30, $40 and $50 and are available at the Cowan Center box office. Box office hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. More>>>

University Observes Alcohol Awareness Week

UT Tyler will observe Alcohol Awareness Week Monday through Friday, Oct. 21-25, with several activities designed to encourage healthy choices.

Activities will be sponsored by the Office of Student Services and the UT Tyler Drug Related Education and Awareness Mentoring (DREAM) Team, a new student organization with the goal of providing health education and prevention programming related to alcohol, drugs and sexual assault. More>>>
