Society Student Chapter Earns Top Honor
The
UT Tyler Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical
Society has been selected to receive an Outstanding Award
for its activities conducted during the 2001-02 academic
year.
UT
Tyler was chosen as one of the top 31 of more than 950 chapters
at colleges and universities in the United States and Puerto

Meadows
Gallery Presents Works by Leonard Baskin
Early
works by Leonard Baskin (1922-2000), a prominent contributor
to the American art scene for more than half a century,
are on exhibit Monday, Oct. 7, - Friday, Nov. 15, in The
Meadows Gallery, located at the Cowan Center.
An
opening reception with a gallery talk by guest curator Michael
T. Ricker will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11.
Most
of the works on display have never before been exhibited.

Wind
Ensemble to Perform Oct. 10
The
UT Tyler Wind Ensemble will present its first concert at
7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in the Cowan Center’s Vaughn
Auditorium.
The
group will perform works by Stewart, Ticheli, Vaughn Williams,
