Patriot Golf Classic Raises $100,000 for Scholarship Program

check presented to university   The 2002 Patriot Golf Classic raised $100,000 for The University of Texas at Tyler scholarship program. The amount was announced during a wrap-up celebration hosted by UT Tyler President and Mrs. Rodney H. Mabry.

The scholarship program benefits students at all three of the university’s campuses. More>>>


Homecoming Activities Mark New Tradition

The university’s first homecoming activities were held Sept. 12-13, beginning with an alumni banquet Thursday at the Cowan Center. More>>>

Accounting Major Awarded National Scholarship

Ingrid Patrick, a junior at UT Tyler, is one of 42 students selected nationwide to receive a scholarship from the National Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation.

Patrick was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for the 2002-03 academic year on the basis of an outstanding scholastic record. The Tyler resident is majoring in accounting. More>>>

UT Tyler Grad Receives Wall Street Journal Award

Shaun Twomey of Tyler has been awarded the Wall Street Journal 2002 Student Achievement Award.

Twomey graduated magna cum laude in spring 2002 with a bachelor of business administration degree in finance.

The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award is presented annually by the UT Tyler College of Business and Technology. Twomey was chosen, for the second consecutive year, by the business faculty. More>>>
