Health and Kinesiology Physical Education Building – Construction began in December 2001 and is expected to be completed in late 2003 on a 127,500 square-foot complex that will house classrooms, faculty offices, indoor jogging/walking track, exercise equipment, free weight area, gymnasium/convocation area with volleyball and basketball courts, racquetball courts and an outdoor pool. David G. and Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Building, College of Nursing and Health Sciences – Construction work began in May 2002 on a two-story facility that will contain about 37,000 gross square feet and house classrooms, a student lounge area, conference room, study labs, computer labs, nursing skills labs and faculty offices. Projected completion date: July 2003. Residence
Hall - – Project is in the design phase for construction
of an 11,000-square-foot facility on Lake Drive that will have the
capacity to house 36-40 students. Projected completion date: August
2003. Longview
University Center parking lot - Work is ongoing and should be
completed in early September on an 85-space, lighted parking lot.
The project includes landscaping, irrigation and sidewalks. Longview University Center monument signs -There will be two monument signs, one on each side of the entrance to the Longview campus. Each sign will be 6 feet tall and 100 feet in length. An agreement has been executed with an architect. Construction specifications are being prepared for request for proposal.
