Academic Enrichment to Present Student
Success Seminars
The UT Tyler Academic Enrichment Center will
present Student Success Seminars designed to help students enhance
their academic performance, Kim Livingston, services counselor,
has announced.
The seminars
are open to all UT Tyler students, faculty and staff. Participants
can bring their lunches to the Sept. 11 seminar. Drinks and dessert
will be provided. Lunch will be provided for all other day seminars.

Wednesday,
Sept. 11 -- “9/11-One Year Later,’’ noon-1 p.m.,
University Center 118, Dr. Davor Jedlicka, professor of sociology.
Wednesday,
Sept. 25 – Livingston will present “The Secrets to Student
Success,’’ noon-1 p.m., UC 102; and Studying for Success,
7-8:30 p.m., University Pines clubhouse.
Thursday, Oct.
10 – “Overcoming Depression’’ in conjunction
with National Depression Screening Day, 12:30-1:30 p.m., UC 118,
presented by the Counseling Center.
Wednesday,
Oct. 16 – “Disability Disclosure: Now or Never,’’
noon-1 p.m., UC 118, Krista Richardson, coordinator of career services.
Wednesday,
Oct. 23 – “Alcohol Awareness’’ in conjunction
with Drug and Alcohol Awareness Week, noon-1 p.m., UC 118, Melinda
Hermanns, senior lecturer in nursing.
Wednesday,
Nov. 6 – “Resume: Your Personal Advertisement,’’
noon-1 p.m., UC 118, Richardson.
