University Celebrates Library Week

Muntz Library celebrated National Library Week on April 9 with a reception attended by more than 50 students, faculty, staff and community members.

Jeanne Pyle, library director, welcomed the attendees, unveiling the new Sarah McClendon exhibit, which consists of items from the university archives.

Vandy Dubre, coordinator of the exhibit, made a brief speech about Ms. McClendon's life and accomplishments. Refreshments were served.

Savvy students and faculty know the best source of information isn’t always Google, said Joanne Buendtner, library assistant. “The ultimate search engine is at your library: It’s your librarian.”
