Nominated this year for the W.C. Handy Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year Award as well as Blues Instrumentalist – Keyboard, Ball received the 2002 award for Blues Album of the Year for Presumed Innocent.

In 1999, she and her band appeared on a nationally televised PBS special Performance at the White House with B. B. King and Della Reese, and she was the featured guest on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion, playing cuts from Presumed Innocent.

The UT Tyler Patriot Classic begins May 10 with the UT Tyler Patriot Cox Communications Million Dollar Hole-in-One Contest. Other events include Patriot Tennis Classic Pro-Am, May 10-11; UT Tyler Texas “Shootout” Barbecue and Auction, May 17; and Patriot Golf Classic, May 19.
